Public Hearing
Concerning the FY 2019 – 2020 Annual Budget
The Mayor and Council and Finance Committee of the Town of Elsmere have had to reschedule their annual budget hearing. The hearing will no longer be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019. Instead, the Mayor and Council and Finance Committee will hold a Public Hearing concerning the Town’s 2019 – 2020 Operating, Revenue and Capital Improvement Budgets at the Elsmere Town Hall located at # 11 Poplar Avenue, on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 and will begin at 6:30 pm. Copies of the proposed budgets are available for inspection by the public at the Town Hall and may be reviewed between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm Monday through Friday with the exception of holidays. The agenda for the meeting will be posted at Town Hall and on the website no later than Wednesday, June 19, 2019.
After hearing testimony and having their questions answered it is anticipated that the Mayor and Council will set the property tax rate for the 2018 – 2019 Fiscal Year and adopt the Town’s FY 2019 – 2020 Operating, Revenue and Capital Improvement Budgets, as well as, determining if the New Castle County Property Assessment Roles should be used for Town purposes.
